What is the Turbid Medium Effect? Essentially, it follows the principle that a warm, light-colored scumble over a dark ground will appear cool.  We will explore this phenomena in the context of a portrait.  We will also work to on developing an accurate, structured drawing prior to starting the portrait.

At present, the plan is to do one portrait that spans the entire Spring session, though this is subject to change.
